Stephen C. Gironda & Associates started out as an Executive Search firm specializing in the Environmental, Engineering and Counter-Terrorism fields. We have expanded and grown to include "Alternative Energy" such as solar, wind and hydrogen technologies.

 In addition to Executive Search  Stephen C. Gironda & Associates has also become an education company providing workshops for parents, teens, families and corporations.  The workshops fuse more than twenty five years of success in executive and youth coaching.

We provide tools and training for:

      Corporations to access their talent pool and see them

      succeed as an effective team

      Parents to act as positive, effective coaches in their children’s lives

      Teens to gain confidence, adopt accountability, gain leadership skills  

      and achieve greater results in their lives

Executive Search

Since 1989, Stephen Gironda has been successfully placing top level executives in the countries finest companies. Originally trained by Tom Toole, distinguished owner of Management Recruiters of Laguna Hills California, Steve became a successful Environmental Industry recruiter specializing in Air Quality program and project leaders.

As the needs of business changed, so did Steve. Expanding in the Environmental and later the Consulting Engineering Industry, Steve became a leader in his field, making placements at companies such as TRC, Hawaiian Electric, Woodward Clyde(later URS), ICF Kaiser, Tetra Tech, Jacobs Engineering,and Stone and Webster(later the Shaw Group). And as the industry changed so did the types of search. From program managers for T.E.R.C. contracts to tunnellers; from Business Development Specialists in DOD,DOE, and Commercial, to Counter Terrorism experts.

In 1999, Stephen C. Gironda & Associates opened. By creating agreements with many of the Sales Consultants and Management Recruiters offices he had partnered with over the years, Steve has been able to expand his capabilities around the country by working with local and out of state recruiters; as well as using in house staff.  

Today, Stephen C. Gironda & Associates have expanded to serve the most important industries of today - Alternative Energy. From Solar and Wind to Hydrogen, we are committed to be leaders in the field! Our forte has always been filling the "needle in the haystack" search.

Workshops

Workshops combine interactive, experiential exercises, with traditional classroom instruction.  Workshops mostly take place over the weekend to accommodate work and school schedules.

Parent’s Effective Coaching Workshop

Workshops take place Sunday 10am – 4:00pm

During the Effective Coaching workshop, parents will learn to:
Listen with greater effectiveness. They will become, ”generous listeners”, so that they not only get a better picture of what their children are saying and meaning, their children will feel like they have been heard! Parents will learn the distinctions of coaching, right down to the Webster’s dictionary definition. Then through experiential games and exercises, they will practice being an effective coach. This workshop is designed to have the Parent/Coach become the coach every parent hopes their child gets.
 
Torch Academy

In the teen leadership program Torch Academy, students will experience an enhanced ability to Trust and be Trustworthy, increase in Self Confidence, improved Problem Solving Skills, Mature Social Skills, Enhanced Communication Skills, Organization and Time Management.  The workshop provides teens with the tools they need to be Self Motivated and to take a Leadership position in their community (school, family, etc.) and to possess Self Directed Motivation.  Upon graduation, students may join the “Leader Circle”, where they can apply their skills and participate in the Torch Academy as a mentor/coach to others.

The Torch Program     

The adult version of the Torch Academy, the first step starts you on the journey of discovery to uncover your own personal roadblocks in life. It is all about you in Step One, how you see the world, why you see it the way you do, all of your "I know that" beliefs and how they either work for or against your dreams!

The Step One schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evening from 6:30pm until approximately midnight, Saturday from 11:00am till apprioximately 11:00pm, and Sunday from 10:00am until 7:30 pm graduation celebration (Invite your friends and family, you'll be glad you did). 

Step Two 

Literally a once in a lifetime experience; you can take a free refresher in Step One  every year if you like. Step two, you only take once in a lifetime.

In this "Breakthrough" course you will not only see what you have been missing, you will begin to practice living as the most powerful you. This course challenges every thing that you have been holding on to, that has held you back. It is the action course that starts the moment you enter the room; there is no warming up! The Step Two schedule is Wednesday,Thursday + Friday, Noon to midnight, Saturday 10:00am till approximately Midnight, Sunday 10:00am till 6:30pm graduation celebration(another opportunity to bring friends and family).

Step Three 

90 days of you working on your personal goals, specific and time oriented.The core of Step Three is your own Letter of Accomplishment or "LOA". That is your template for what you will accomplish. Start a new career, start a new business, re-invent your marriage, re-invent how you are a parent, go back to school, whatever you desire, you, your teammates and your coaches work together so that each member of the Step Three Team accomplishes their "LOA". This program is also about being in contribution. Members of the Step ThreeTeam  are responsible to create their own community service project that demonstrates  commitment to a better world.

Over the Edge Weekend, for many, the most impactful part of Step Three. You and your Step ThreeTeam will participate in High Impact, Team Building Experience on an outdooor challenge course

Step Three's are very much like the Marines. Not everyone is cut out to be a leader, just like not everyone is cut out to be a Marine..the Few,the Proud...Step Three

Family Workshop

The Family Workshop consists of a Friday evening from 6:30pm to 9:30pm, Saturday from 10am- 6pm and Sunday from 10am- 6pm. It is designed for families to improve their communication, enhance understanding, and build effective support for each other.

Children from age 7 and up may attend. In the Family Workshop parents and children learn to respect and support each other.

Abundance and Prosperity Workshop

This fabulous workshop may make the biggest difference in all areas of life. If you have struggled with finances or finding enough time to enjoy all that you have worked for and earned,
then this is for you. In the workshop (Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday) students discover the “underlying beliefs” that they have about wealth and prosperity. Once revealed, the students realize that the only thing stopping them is holding on to beliefs that work against their desire.
From that recognition that Beliefs are Not necessarily Facts, they can make new choices that will put them on the path to living with Abundance and Prosperity in all areas of life.

Relationship Workshop   

In this weekend workshop, students begin to understand how they have been approaching their relationships and how they have been relating to themselves. The judgements they put on others and the judgements they put on themselves have a direct impact on every relationship. More often than not, we as humans, bring our past experience in relationship to our present relationships. Sometimes those past lessons serve our new relationship, unfortunately sometimes past lessons can stand directly in the way of creating a new and different type of relationship.

This workshop supports the student in identifying which parts of each relationship work for and which parts work against building lasting, fulfilling relationships. From that knowledge, the student can choose how their relationships will be, and have that!

Sexuality Workshop

It’s not just about SEX!

In this weekend workshop, participants are given the opportunity to explore how human sexuality affects so much of their life. The choices we make in who we date, what we wear, the car we drive, the shampoo we use, and the places we eat can all be influenced by some sort of sexuality. This is a true discovery workshop where the students see their roadblocks to intimacy
and deeper more fulfilling relationships. And, yes there is some talk of sex.

High Ropes Team Building

This is the ultimate in experiential outdoor learning.

An all day outdoor adventure, this breakthrough event gives new meaning to the word living.
 By participating in this “challenge course” environment, each student is given the choice from event to event to either step forward in their life or stand still.

It is all about choice. Just like in our everyday lives, we are always making choices. Here, the participants get to see how and why they make the choices they make and how those choices either support them in their success in life or hamper and impede their success. Communication styles, goal setting, trust and trust worthiness, team play, and strategic thinking are all parts of the learning process during this Fun Filled, Powerful day.

** This workshop can be customized to fit different schedules and can be done in combination with indoor classroom initiatives**

Parent/Teen Workshop

Just as it sounds, this weekend workshop is designed to get parents and their teenager children on the same page. As children move into their teen years they are bombarded with information that often conflicts with what they have been learning at home. Peer pressure, TV, the Internet, not to mention their desire to find their own way and have independence, can combine to really strain families. This workshop sets up the parents and teens to go to the next level of communication and increases the commitment to respect each others point of view. From that point, true family support can be established or re-established.

• Stephen C. Gironda, President 
•  Steve has coached baseball, soccer and wrestling for 32 seasons. He has proven to be an extraordinary athletic coach for youth levels(ages 4 and up) through high school level, with 9 years of varsity coaching experience; 5 years as head coach. Since 1993, Steve has excelled as an adult coach, executive trainer and corporate team builder. He brings passion and an unwavering commitment to make a difference with whomever he works, Steve is a "can do" leader who motivates and inspires others in their lives. All of that combined with an uncanny ability to find most anything or anyone has also made him an outstanding executive recruiter!

• Elisa Bridwell, Trainer
• Based in Southern California, Elisa has been leading teen trainings and facilitating adult learning workshops for many years. Elisa is the first Trainer for the Torch Academy and will be instrumental in building the upcoming additional curriculum.

                                   Bill Godbey, Trainer

         Bill is a lead trainer who travels the world leading Step One, Step          Two and Step Three (Basic, Advanced and Leadership Program)  and weekend workshops. Since 1985, He has facilitated transformational work in South America, Japan, Russia, Latvia, as well as the United States. Bill has an MBA degree in Management and currently resides with his wife in Marin County, California.
